Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Regional Fleet Operations professional to oversee fleet maintenance, registrations, and driver compliance. You will manage DOT inspections, coordinate repairs, and support emergency responses with on-call availability.

The role emphasizes accuracy of records, budgeting, and collaboration with regional teams. An active CDL or CDL-B preferred, a valid license, and 2+ years in fleet management are required, with strong Office skills and Power BI familiarity

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Must meet DOT Physical Qualifications and Examinations.
• Class A-CDL with CDL-B preferred.
• Must have ability to perform DOT road-tests.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience in vehicle fleet management or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
• A current, valid driver’s license with good driving record is required.
• Travel: Must be able to drive throughout the region.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily maintenance and repair of Regional Fleet Maintenance Program to include registrations, maintenance schedules, and inventory.
• Assist with emergency vehicle breakdowns and be on-call 24/7 for emergencies.
• Maintain DOT vehicle maintenance and inspections per FMCSR and ARC directives; assign vehicles for official trips.
• Coordinate fleet repairs with Regional Departments and Districts; ensure timely work and renew insurance cards.
• Assist with blood drive coverage by assigning Mobile Unit vehicles as needed.
• Ensure accuracy of the fleet database.
• Assist Manager in formulating Transportation Department Budget.
