Job summary

SCR in Saint Cloud, MN seeks a Fleet Mechanic to maintain the safety, reliability, and condition of SCR's fleet of vehicles, trailers, and construction equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, welding and fabrication, and new vehicle setup to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, formal automotive training, and 5+ years of related experience. DOT certification is required or obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a vocational/technical program or apprenticeship in automotive repair, or equivalent experience.
• Five years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on SCR vehicles and trailers.
• Identify and diagnose mechanical problems using visual inspection and diagnostic equipment.
• Repair malfunctioning vehicles and equipment and perform welding/fabrication as needed.
• Set up new vehicles with shelving, safety equipment, and electronics.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and coordinate parts and outside vendor repairs.
