Job summary

SavATree is seeking a Mechanic in Wyckoff, NJ to ensure all equipment and vehicles are ready and operating efficiently. You will perform preventative maintenance and major repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment, coordinating with managers and field specialists to keep operations running smoothly.

You will review inspection reports, order parts, and train field staff while maintaining a clean, safe shop. CDL is preferred; ASE certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in small engine repair and two-stroke maintenance.
• Diesel engine repair and maintenance experience.
• Experience operating and maintaining aerial lift trucks.
• Experience with spray equipment, tanks, and pumps.
• Your own basic tools for engine repair and maintenance.
• Ability to read manuals, diagnostic charts, and troubleshoot issues.
• CDL preferred and ASE certification a plus.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and major repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Coordinate repairs with Managers and field specialists.
• Review Vehicle Inspection Reports to prioritize work and address issues promptly.
• Order and receive parts, complete required paperwork for office and vendors.
• Train field specialists on equipment maintenance and safe operation.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient shop and yard.
