Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1-4 years automotive mechanic experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and write routine reports.
• Attention to detail and ability to document work accurately.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs fleet vehicle chassis and back-end tank, pump and spray systems.
• Diagnoses and repairs tractors, forklifts, small engines and specialized equipment (aerators, seeders, spreaders, etc.).
• Maintains service/repair records in an electronic maintenance management system.
• Maintains parts inventory and keeps work area clean and organized.
• Coordinates outsourced maintenance by vendors and local service providers.
• Develops and executes preventative maintenance programs.
• Prepares and manages maintenance budget.
• Responds to vehicle and equipment breakdowns in the field as needed.
