SWTO, LLC is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain the company transportation fleet, including Class 8 vehicles and petroleum tank trailers. The role covers preventive maintenance, inspections and coordination with contractors to ensure safe, compliant operations.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, uphold OSHA and EPA guidelines, and contribute to cost-effective repairs while maintaining a safe shop and timely communications with management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of FMCSA, EPA and OSHA requirements.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and MS Office tools.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing over 125 pounds.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools and related equipment.
• Good understanding of intra-department functions and operations.
• Capable of repetitive bending, standing and reaching.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose, repair and maintain Class 8 vehicles, petroleum tank trailers, medium duty and light-duty vehicles.
• Complete preventive maintenance and vehicle inspections per fleet practices.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and address defects found during PM inspections.
• Test equipment to confirm defect diagnoses and ensure proper repairs.
• Coordinate with outside contractors when needed for repairs.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment per OSHA standards.
• Comply with EPA, federal and local regulations and company policies.
• Communicate critical events to management in a timely manner.
