Job summary

7-Eleven is seeking a dedicated Fleet Mechanic for its SWTO division in Tampa, Florida. The ideal candidate will provide mechanical and technical support for the transportation fleet, ensuring all vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing Class 8 vehicles, performing preventive maintenance, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of FMCSA, EPA and OSHA regulations.
• Experience with MS Office applications.
• Ability to operate various tools and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, repairs, and maintains Class 8 vehicles.
• Completes preventive maintenance and vehicle inspections.
• Responds to breakdown calls and manages repairs.

Skills

Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), EPA and OSHA

Demonstrated expertise with Word, Excel, and other MS Office suite applications

Ability to conduct and complete Company business in a professional and ethical manner

Ability to lift equipment weighing in excess of 125 pounds

Ability to operate hand and power tools and special equipment

Good understanding of intra-department functions and operations

Ability to perform repeated bending, standing and reaching
