Job summary

Jensen Landscape Services in Martinez, CA is seeking an experienced Mechanic to operate and repair medium duty trucks and arbor equipment. You will work with fleet managers to diagnose problems and keep equipment in top condition.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hands-on experience, knowledge of aerial lifts, wood chippers, skid steer equipment, and strong engine repair skills on major brands. CDL preferred. We offer a competitive hourly pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience working on medium-duty trucks and arbor equipment.
• Experience with aerial equipment, wood chippers, skid steers, ATVs, UTVs.
• Strong engine repair experience on International, Cummins, Cat, etc.
• Proficient with computer diagnostics software to pinpoint engine/hydraulic/electrical issues.
• Must be able to order parts and work long hours in warm conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project and Fleet Managers to assess equipment needs and repair problems using cost-effective methods.
• Monitor and schedule preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain and provide reports of all repairs including parts and labor time for each piece of equipment.
• Stay within monthly and yearly shop budgets.
• Perform mechanical work using hand and power tools safely and productively.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and proactively maintain fleet and equipment.
• Run service truck for repairs outside of shop needs.
• General shop and office upkeep.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.
