Job summary

Hill Country Transit District in Belton, TX seeks a Class B-2 Mechanic to maintain and repair the urban fleet under the Fleet Maintenance department. Responsibilities include running repairs, basic PMI tasks, and assisting in major repairs to body, chassis, engines, and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic service for fleet repairs, including brakes, electrical, and body work as skills develop.
• Assist in maintenance and repairs in-house whenever possible.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance records and organize work area.
• Assist in moving vehicles and coordinating out-of-service fleet with Fleet Manager.
• Prepare new vehicles for service and assist in signage/ads maintenance as directed.
