Job summary

Forward Air seeks a skilled Mechanic to keep our tractors, trailers, and material-handling equipment safe, reliable, and road-ready. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, brake, and hydraulic issues, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to breakdowns to support our expedited LTL and logistics network.

You’ll work in a safety-focused, performance-driven shop, collaborating closely with drivers and operations to minimize downtime and maintain compliance with DOT and company

Qualifications

• Diagnostics and repair of mechanical systems

• Brake and hydraulic systems knowledge

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, brake and hydraulic systems on tractors, trailers and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
• Respond to breakdowns quickly to restore service and support operations.
