Job summary

TruGreen is hiring a maintenance technician in North Carolina to perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on production equipment, fleet vehicles, and specialized gear. You will diagnose, repair, and document work, manage parts inventory, and coordinate outsourced maintenance as needed.

The role requires 1–4 years of automotive experience or equivalent, strong computer skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1–4 years automotive mechanic experience preferred.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing fleet vehicles and machinery.
• Able to read safety rules and maintenance instructions; write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair fleet vehicle chassis and back-end tank, pump and spray systems.
• Diagnose and repair tractors, forklifts, and small engines (aerators, seeders, spreaders).
• Document all repairs in an electronic maintenance management system.
• Keep parts inventory and work area clean and organized.
• Arrange, follow up, and document outsourced maintenance by vendors.
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs.
• Prepare and manage maintenance budget.
• Respond to vehicle and equipment breakdowns in the field as needed.
