Job summary

TruGreen is seeking a maintenance technician to perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on production equipment and fleet vehicles in Baltimore, MD. You will diagnose and repair chassis, pumps and spray systems, order parts and maintain accurate service records.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED with 1–4 years automotive/mechanical experience, the ability to work independently or in a team, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1–4 years automotive mechanic experience.
• Ability to operate independently within a team.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Document repairs accurately in an electronic maintenance system.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs fleet vehicle chassis and back-end tank, pump and spray systems.
• Diagnoses and repairs tractors, forklifts, small engines and specialized equipment (aerators, seeders, spreaders, etc.).
• Document all repairs in an electronic maintenance management system.
• Maintain parts inventory and work area in clean and orderly fashion.
• Arranges, follows up and documents outsourced maintenance performed by vendors and local service providers.
• Develops and executes preventative maintenance programs.
• Prepares and manages maintenance budget.
• Responds to vehicle and equipment breakdowns in field as needed/required.
