Job summary

Stay Alert Safety Services, an AWP Safety Company, is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, inspect and repair fleet vehicles, and keep them safe and reliable for our nationwide operations. The role supports our mission to protect customers’ people, businesses and time.

You will follow maintenance programs, document work orders, and assist remote locations as needed. A High School Diploma or GED and 1–2 years of related experience are preferred, with a valid driver’s

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
1-2 years’ related field experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Must be able to follow safe workplace practices.
Valid Driver’s License without suspension or revocation; insurable per company policies.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance activities.
Inspect and test vehicles; complete preventive maintenance (engine tune-ups, brake systems, electrical devices).
Maintain vehicle function by addressing operator complaints; inspect and repair engine and electrical systems; replace parts.
Perform repair and maintenance of fleet equipment and various equipment.
Inspect and evaluate fleet and equipment.
Adhere to maintenance programs and procedures.
Maintain asset branding procedures.
Monitor and maintain vehicle equipment standards.
Other duties as assigned.
