Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an experienced diesel maintenance technician to ensure all fleet vehicles are in top condition and compliant with federal standards. The role involves diagnosing and repairing engines, hydraulics, electrical, and brake systems, plus performing preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.

You will support drivers, complete repair orders, and uphold safety protocols in a fast-paced shop environment. Prior experience with trailer systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Diesel Maintenance Repair experience.
• Experience with air brake, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• FMCSA standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, power train, electrical systems and hydraulics.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tractors and trailers.
• Complete repair orders and maximize safety and reliability.
• Assist drivers with vehicle issues and maintain DOT compliance.
• Operate shop tools and safety equipment.
• Follow company policies and safety rules.
• Conduct DOT inspections.
