Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure in Massachusetts is seeking a Mechanic I to maintain fleet equipment and trucks. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles and trailers to keep them in good working order, respond to repairs in field and shop, and coordinate with the Shop Foreman.

This non-exempt role requires basic tools and willingness to operate in various weather. Candidates should have 2 years of fleet experience, knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and suspension systems, and a valid

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in fleet and construction equipment diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair of gasoline and diesel engines.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and suspension systems.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic, troubleshooting and repair tasks on vehicles, equipment and trailers.
• Complete preventative maintenance such as oil changes and brake repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues including wiring and lighting.
• Coordinate with Shop Foreman to prioritize repairs and ensure DOT compliance.
• Document repair and maintenance activities per company policies.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment safely.
