Job summary

Modernistic Cleaning and Restoration in Troy, Michigan is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, organized, and capable of performing minor building repairs while maintaining our fleet to high showroom standards and optimal performance.

This role requires 3+ years of auto repair experience, a valid Michigan license, and the ability to pass a drug screen.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive repair experience required.
• 1+ year of building/facility maintenance preferred.
• Valid Michigan driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Ability to move and lift 50 lbs or more.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment to perform repairs.
• Flexible schedule and overtime willingness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicles based on observation and information from Technicians.
• Perform major and minor electrical and mechanical vehicle repairs.
• Perform fluid changes, lubrication, safety inspections and brake repairs as required by the DOT.
• Perform building maintenance tasks and repairs.
• Respond to service calls and assist with off-site vehicle and equipment troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with team regarding repairs and fleet status.
• Document repairs and maintain records.
• Maintain knowledge of company vehicles and equipment.
• Communicate with Logistics Manager regarding fleet.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
