Job summary

Forward Air is seeking a skilled Mechanic to keep our fleet running safely and efficiently in a fast-paced transportation environment. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair tractors, trailers, and material-handling equipment across North America, performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, brake, and engine systems.

You will work closely with operations teams, adhere to safety and DOT standards, and maintain accurate service records.

Qualifications

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair tractors, trailers, and material-handling equipment that support expedited LTL, intermodal, and final mile operations across North America.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, brake, and engine systems.
• Respond to urgent repair needs to minimize downtime.
• Follow strict safety and DOT standards and maintain accurate service records.
