ChampionX in Odessa, TX is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy-duty delivery vehicles. The role involves scheduled PMs, field repairs, and safety-focused operations. Travel to field locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate or GED.
• 2 years diesel mechanic experience.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record (3 years).

Responsibilities

• Servicing all types of delivery and treating trucks.
• Inspect all heavy duty vehicles once a month.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on all delivery vehicles.
• Perform field repairs as needed.
• Take part in planning and scheduling repairs in daily ops meeting.
• Maintain ChampionX policy inspection maintenance records.
• Keeps current on safety techniques and take advantage of all opportunities to improve driving and safety skills.
• Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment.
• Assist in any emergency that may need mechanical knowledge.
• Ensure equipment is safe and in proper working order including scheduling of preventative maintenance.
• Adhere to company policies and follow Standard Operating Procedure per job task.
• Wear required personal protection equipment (PPE) at all times during job tasks.
• Ensure a safe work environment, promote a safety culture, and deliver safety training (weekly), etc.
• Manage all fleet equipment and maintenance needs.
• Directing all fleet mechanics and maintenance activities to ensure all repair and maintenance work is performed safely, efficiently, and timely.
• Managing monthly OPEX on repair and maintenance
• Manage and perform inventory tasks
• Ensure all partners in the supply chain are working effectively and efficiently to ensure smooth operations and maintenance.
