Job summary

Custom Truck One Source in Odessa, TX, is seeking a diesel/mechanical technician to diagnose, repair, and service hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on utility trucks and equipment. You will document repairs and work with diagnostic software.

Requires hydraulics/pneumatic knowledge, toolbox, and a valid driver's license. The role involves field-ready tasks, safety compliance, and collaboration with the team in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

Background in hydraulic fluid power troubleshooting.
Background in pneumatic tool troubleshooting.
Electrical, schematic/blueprints, hydraulic, welding experience.
Experience with Quick Serve, DTNA, and other diagnostic software.
DOT and ANSI testing and compliance.
Own your own tools and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, repair, and/or replace damaged or worn parts for a variety of utility equipment manufacturers.
Operate and inspect machines to diagnose defects.
Rebuild gearboxes, outriggers, and boom lift cylinders.
Perform initial inspections, diagnostics, and parts requisition.
Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using appropriate tools.
Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and vehicles.
Maintain accurate records of parts, services, and labor.
Submit work/repair orders for approval.
Attend monthly safety meetings.
