R.W Mercer Co. seeks a skilled Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of trucks, trailers, and equipment across multiple locations.

The role focuses on ensuring safe, reliable operation and rapid response to breakdowns, with a strong emphasis on diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in fleet maintenance or diesel repair, a high school diploma or GED, and relevant ASE or diesel certifications are preferred.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of fleet maintenance or diesel/auto repair experience.
• ASE, diesel mechanic, or related certifications are preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on company-owned trucks, vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure safe fleet operation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and brake system issues.
• Maintain accurate service records and report repair needs to management.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Respond to breakdowns and assist with emergency repairs as needed.
