Job summary

SavATree is seeking a Mechanic in Waverly, NE to ensure all equipment and vehicles operate reliably through preventive maintenance and repairs. You’ll coordinate with managers, review inspection reports, and manage parts ordering while maintaining a safe, organized workspace in the shop and yard.

The role requires experience with small and diesel engines, aerial lifts, and spray equipment, plus a CDL and tools. Training and growth opportunities are available in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in small engine repair and two-stroke engine maintenance.
• Diesel engine repair and maintenance experience.
• Experience operating and maintaining aerial lift (bucket) trucks.
• Experience with spray equipment, tanks, and pumps.
• Your own basic tools for engine repair and maintenance.
• Ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals, diagnostic charts, and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues.
• A valid driver’s license (Class B CDL preferred).
• ASE certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance and major repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Coordinating repairs and maintenance with Managers and field specialists.
• Reviewing Vehicle Inspection Reports to prioritize work and address issues promptly.
• Ordering and receiving parts and supplies, completing required paperwork for the office and vendors.
• Training field specialists on equipment maintenance and safe vehicle operation whenever possible.
• Maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment in the shop and yard.
