Job summary

AtGlobe Communications, LLC in Commerce, GA seeks a reliable Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of vehicles and equipment. You’ll diagnose issues, plan repairs, and ensure safety and compliance with standards. This role requires travel to multiple locations and staying overnight as needed.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver’s license, Class A CDL preferred
• Mechanics may be expected to provide their own tools; shop supplies provided as needed
• Minimum 1 year experience as a mechanic, preferably with fleet or commercial equipment
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Proficient in diagnostic tools and equipment
• Ability to travel to other locations and stay overnight as needed

Responsibilities

• Determine repair or maintenance plans for vehicles and equipment based on cost/benefit analysis
• Conduct diagnostics to troubleshoot failures in vehicles and equipment
• Inspect and provide strategic recommendations for proactive maintenance
• Follow work procedures for repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment
• Dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations
• Ensure vehicles are clean and fueled at all times
• Operate and test vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace
• Transport equipment and vehicles between locations, to auction, etc.
• Other duties as assigned
