Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Mechanic to maintain, repair, and diagnose the company’s fleet of vehicles and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation in compliance with company and regulatory standards. The role includes proactive maintenance planning, diagnostics, and routine tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations, plus keeping a clean, orderly workspace.

A valid driver’s license and at least 1 year of mechanic experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a mechanic, preferably with fleet vehicles or commercial equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficient in diagnostic tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Determine repair or maintenance plans for vehicles and equipment based on cost/benefit analysis.
• Conduct diagnostics to troubleshoot failures in vehicles and equipment.
• Inspect and provide strategic recommendations for proactive maintenance.
• Follow work procedures for the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment such as trackhoes, backhoes, and other specialized machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and fueled at all times.
• Operate and test vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
• Other duties as assigned.
