Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC in Omaha, NE is hiring a Mechanic to perform maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on our fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment. You will determine repair plans based on cost/benefit analyses, troubleshoot failures, inspect for proactive maintenance, and follow procedures to keep all machines operating safely and efficiently.

You'll dismantle and reassemble components, perform routine oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations, ensure units are clean and fueled,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or relevant work experience.
• 1 year of mechanic experience, preferably fleet or commercial equipment.
• Valid state driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Determine repair or maintenance plans for vehicles and equipment based on cost/benefit analysis.
• Conduct diagnostics to troubleshoot failures in vehicles and equipment.
• Inspect and provide strategic recommendations for proactive maintenance.
• Follow work procedures for the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment such as trackhoes, backhoes, and other specialized machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and fueled at all times.
• Operate and test vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
• Other duties as assigned.
