Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking a skilled Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, service, and repair buses and vehicles. You will handle steering, suspension, brakes, engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical systems, wheelchair lifts, and air conditioning, while following safety protocols and documenting work in MV’s Fleet Management System.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years of apprentice level automotive experience; ASE certification is recommended,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of apprentice level verifiable training and experience in automotive.
• ASE certification recommended.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, examines, and investigates vehicles to determine causes of defective operation of vehicle systems and components.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance of vehicles.
• Execute major and minor repairs of defective components.
• Document all activities in MV’s Fleet Management System.
• Maintain work environment in an organized and safe condition.
