Sanimax is looking to hire an experienced day shift Fleet Mechanic in our Green Bay location. This individual will need to do repairs and maintenance on all vehicles in the fleet.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

1. Inspect trucks, trailers and related equipment to locate and determine the extent of necessary repair.
2. Inspect, adjust, and replace related parts.
3. Fabricate and weld to repair equipment as necessary.
4. Be able to troubleshoot and use diagnostics tools.
5. Have basic hand tools.
6. Must be able to enter work orders and have basic computer skills.
7. Review work with the garage coordinator and others during shift hand off and fill out all work orders as work is completed.
8. Repair minor occasional cooling, fuel, electrical, and exhaust systems.
9. Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems.
10. Coordinate and provide daily work assignments to mechanical maintenance personnel; review work and control quality of work; may provide input on performance evaluations.
11. Perform the full range and most complex duties of the Fleet Mechanic class; respond to emergency calls for service after hours.
12. Assist in implementation of garage policies and procedures.
13. Clean and maintain the garage area and equipment.
14. Perform related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

High school diploma or Tech school graduate.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

1. Must be able to work on a computer.
2. Basic fabricating or repair knowledge.
3. Basic welding skills.
4. Knowledge of hydraulics.
5. Basic knowledge of tractor/truck repair.
6. Must have valid driver’s license.
7. Must be able to troubleshoot problems and be a self-starter as well as being able to work alone at times.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND WORK CONDITIONS

Must be able to lift 25 pounds multiple times, be able to work bent over and lying on your back, kneeling, and working with your hands. Working in the shop and in all types of outdoor weather when doing a service call.
