Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to support the Vehicle Maintenance Manager in maintaining and repairing our resort vehicle and equipment fleet. You will diagnose, repair, and tune electrical systems, engines, and components while adhering to safety and maintenance programs.
This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, meticulous record-keeping, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a snowy, mountainous setting.
The Fleet Mechanic will support the Vehicle Maintenance Manager in maintaining and repairing the vehicle and equipment fleet following all applicable rules and regulations and the Dodge Ridge Maintenance Program. This position requires a competent mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting of various machinery and components, and performing all tasks with a safety-first attitude. This position is a KEY member of the Dodge Ridge Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:
Weather conditions and the number of guests play a large role in the work scheduling of Dodge Ridge employees.
When conditions are normal, you may be expected to work 40 to 48 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. During busy periods, you may be expected to work six (6) days a week.
You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time. Keep in mind that you will often be required to drive on hilly, snow-packed, and icy road surfaces.
At any time during the ski season, Dodge Ridge employees are often required to perform their tasks in high winds, heavy snowfalls, low visibility, rain, and extremely cold or warm temperatures.
Work is typically performed indoors working directly with resort guests and other resort staff members and it can be noisy. At times, you may be expected to work outside where it can be cold, wet, or humid. There is also the possibility of working around moving objects such as vehicles or snow blowers and occasionally may be required to assist with snow removal using a snow shovel.
A professional appearance at Dodge Ridge is required. Please wear your name tag and uniform at all times during your scheduled shift. We will provide most of the uniform for you to do your job. However, you will be required to provide some items as part of your job, as listed below. The quality, color, and style of the items must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work. All hats worn must have the Dodge Ridge logo while on shift.

The skiing/riding employee represents a model for safe skiing for both the guest and fellow employees. You are required to be aware of all safe skiing procedures, trail closures, and out-of-bounds policies.
