Job summary

LAttitude Inc is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and fleet equipment at customer sites around South Jersey and the Philadelphia area. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends and regular opportunities to work independently.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and engines, document repairs, and communicate clearly with customers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years as Fleet/Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and manage service calls.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • ASE certifications are a plus, but not required.
  • Must be dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented.
  • Willing to travel locally throughout South Jersey and Philadelphia area.
  • Able to pass background screen and drug testing if required by customer job sites.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet and diesel equipment at customer locations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and identify issues before failure occurs.
  • Carry out repairs on brakes, batteries, tires, fluids, electrical, hydraulics, engines, and general fleet maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot medium- and heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, tractors, and other fleet vehicles.
  • Maintain documentation of completed repairs, parts usage, and service records.
  • Communicate repair recommendations with customers in a professional manner.
  • Prioritize repair needs to minimize downtime and maintain customer operations.
  • Represent the company professionally at customer sites and service locations.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding repairs, parts needs, scheduling, and service updates.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and operational standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
