Job summary

L' Fleet Mechanic role is with L'attitude Recruiting in the Greater Philadelphia area. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and fleet equipment at customer sites, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekends.

The position requires 2+ years of diesel/fleet experience, a valid driver's license, and strong diagnostic skills. ASE certs are a plus. Expect field work across South Jersey and Philadelphia with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of Fleet Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and manage service calls.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • ASE certifications are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet and diesel equipment at customer locations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and identify issues before failure.
  • Repair brakes, batteries, tires, fluids, electrical systems, hydraulics, engines, and general maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot medium- and heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, parts usage, and service records.
  • Communicate repair recommendations and equipment concerns with customers professionally.
  • Prioritize repair needs to minimize downtime and support customer operations.
  • Represent the company professionally at customer sites and communicate with management.

FLEET MECHANIC

Position type: Full Time

Pay range: $30.00 - $45.00/Hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday - NO WEEKENDS

Requirements We Look For In A Fleet Mechanic
  • Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of Fleet Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience required
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues
  • Ability to work independently in the field and manage service calls effectively
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • ASE certifications are a plus, but not required
  • Must be dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented
Fleet Mechanics Are
  • Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fleet and diesel equipment at customer locations.
  • Responsible for performing preventative maintenance inspections and identifying mechanical issues before equipment failure occurs.
  • Responsible for repairs involving brakes, batteries, tires, fluid services, electrical systems, hydraulics, engines, and general fleet maintenance.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting medium-duty trucks, heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, tractors, and additional fleet vehicles.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of completed repairs, parts usage, and service records.
  • Responsible for communicating repair recommendations and equipment concerns directly with customers in a professional manner.
  • Responsible for prioritizing repair needs to minimize downtime and maintain customer operations.
  • Responsible for representing the company professionally while working at customer and service locations.
  • Responsible for maintaining communication with management regarding repairs, parts needs, scheduling, and service updates.
  • Responsible for following all company safety procedures and operational standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
