Job summary

Mountaire in Millsboro, DE, is seeking a vehicle maintenance technician to ensure operational readiness through inspections and repairs within our fleet. This is a 2nd shift position from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays.

The ideal candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED and some relevant work experience. We offer a total compensation package including paid holidays and health benefits.

Qualifications

• 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conducts routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Performs basic repairs and intermediate maintenance under supervision.
• Maintains shop organization through clean-up.

Job description

Primary Purpose

Focuses on maintaining and repairing vehicles within a fleet. Their primary purpose is to ensure the operational readiness, safety and reliability of the fleet by conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing necessary repairs.

This is a 2nd shift position, scheduled 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work as scheduled.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs basic inspections and preventative maintenance. Moves equipment as needed.
• Performs basic repairs and intermediate maintenance under supervision.
• Shop clean-up and organization.
• Utilizes the Fleet Maintenance software system program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0 - 3 years’ relevant work experience.
• Basic computer competency.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s license.
