Job summary

Republic Services in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Maintenance Technician C to perform preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment. You will support drivers by servicing vehicles with state-of-the-art equipment and participate in ongoing training to learn new technologies.

The role requires 1–3 years of experience, SOP adherence, and a valid driver’s license. Competitively paid with benefits, you’ll join a team focused on safety, reliability, and community impact.

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program is a plus but not required.
• ASE Certification T8 PM is a plus but not required.
• 1-3 years of experience
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and troubleshoot common faults.
• Valid Driver’s License is preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains basic knowledge of a vehicle's mechanical and electrical systems to perform preventive maintenance and some repair functions.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and adjustments, oil changes, fluids replenishment, light repairs and basic electrical work.
• Complete company training programs as assigned.
• Perform other job-related duties as needed.
