Job summary

WeDriveU in Chicago seeks an on-site Class III Mechanic to perform automotive repairs and fleet maintenance. The role requires 1–3 years of truck or automotive repair experience, and familiarity with diesel/gasoline systems.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 to 3 years truck or automotive repair experience.
• Minimum recommended hand tools for Class III Mechanic.
• High school graduate or equivalent education, training and experience.
• Ideally have previous fleet experience and are familiar with diesel and gasoline systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and brings any unsafe practices or conditions to the attention of supervisor.
• Records time and materials used for each assignment.
• Provides automotive repair and maintenance assistance to technical staff as assigned.
• Advises Lead Technician of unsafe maintenance conditions or practices and/or vehicle abuse.
