Job summary

TransWest is hiring skilled fleet technicians in Washington state to maintain and repair motor coaches, shuttles, and fleet vehicles. You will diagnose, repair, and service a diverse fleet, including electric vehicles, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old with a HS diploma or GED.
• Experience maintaining and repairing vehicles or completion of a related vocational program.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, brake, powertrain, steering, suspension, HVAC systems.
• Preferred experience with transit buses or fleet equipment.
• Must have valid driver's license with acceptable MVR; ability to obtain DOT MEC and pass drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet vehicles including electric vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC, electrical, and other systems.
• Review maintenance schedules and repair priorities to maximize vehicle availability.
• Maintain accurate records of labor hours, parts, and fleet maintenance files.
• Use OEM diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot and repair vehicle systems.
• Conduct road tests and field service calls to verify repairs.
