Job summary

Perdue Transportation Incorporated (PTI), part of Perdue Farms, is seeking a Garage Supervisor to lead fleet technicians in diagnosing issues and performing high‑quality maintenance to OEM specs and DOT safety rules. You will provide hands‑on leadership, promote a safe, efficient shop, and ensure fleet readiness to support daily operations.

The role demands strong leadership, Tire-to-tire problem solving, and the ability to drive performance and reliability across fleet operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED, plus relevant mechanical experience.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills required for team leadership.
• Comfort with standard computer software applications and records.
• Experience diagnosing vehicle/machine issues and performing maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving history highly preferred.
• ACE certifications and CDL are advantageous for this supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fleet technicians in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles.
• Provide training, feedback, and performance guidance to the team.
• Enforce safety protocols and DOT regulations in daily operations.
• Ensure repairs meet OEM specifications and maintain high reliability.
• Schedule tasks to minimize downtime and optimize fleet availability.
• Maintain accurate service records and manage parts inventory.
• Collaborate with drivers, operations, and management to address needs.
• Generate reports on maintenance trends, costs, and performance.
