You will oversee preventative maintenance, manage external vendors, and enforce safety and regulatory standards while optimizing expenses and asset utilization. The role requires coordinating with auto mechanics, inventory management, and internal customers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical fundamentals, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair to fleet operation.
• Ability to manage equipment repair and oversee the correction of problems with tools and machinery.
• Ability to manage inspections, physical assets, and working relationships with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Schedules preventative maintenance inspections and reviews results, monitors repairs, and performs vehicle audits to ensure safety, regulatory and appearance standards.
• Analyzes equipment or vehicle system failures to determine root causes and coordinates repairs with internal and external groups.
• Ensures adequate inventory levels (e.g., parts, tires) to support business processes.
• Adheres to purchasing limits, expense approval procedures, and equipment disposal guidelines to stay within cost plans.
• Reviews and approves automotive expenses.
• Determines employee training needs to develop in the role.
• Conducts performance evaluations and resolves performance issues.
