U.S. PAVEMENT SERVICES LLC is seeking an experienced Shop Manager to lead our equipment maintenance and repair operations.

This hands-on leadership role ensures our fleet of trucks, paving equipment, construction gear, and support vehicles are safe, reliable, and field-ready. The Shop Manager will supervise the maintenance team, set repair priorities, manage parts and external vendors, and collaborate with Operations to minimize downtime and maintain crew productivity.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment, truck, fleet, or construction equipment maintenance.
• Previous supervisory or shop management experience strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel trucks, heavy construction equipment, hydraulics, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience with paving, milling, or asphalt maintenance equipment is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple repairs and make sound decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Comfortable using computerized maintenance, work-order, and equipment-tracking systems.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsabilidades

• Lead daily operation of the maintenance shop and team.
• Prioritize repairs and maintenance by needs.
• Ensure trucks, paving equipment, trailers are maintained and field-ready.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance program.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and assist technicians.
• Manage work orders, records, inspections, and schedules.
• Maintain inventory and control costs.
• Coordinate outside repairs and vendor relationships.
• Communicate equipment status with Operations.
• Monitor condition and advise on major repairs or replacements.
• Maintain clean, safe shop environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and DOT/OSHA.
• Track costs and improve fleet reliability.
• Build accountability in maintenance dept.
