Job summary

Nova Lines in Bridgeview, IL seeks a Maintenance & Quality Supervisor to ensure trucks, trailers, and cargo securement meet DOT/FMCSA and company standards. You will perform in-depth inspections, document findings, and coordinate with shops, operations, and parts to keep equipment in service.

You will translate driver concerns into actionable work orders, oversee quality, appearance, and branding of fleet assets, and support DOT compliance and fleet readiness daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of fleet maintenance/service-writing experience in trucking or transportation.
• DOT-certified mechanic or equivalent inspection qualification.
• Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA vehicle inspection and maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trucks and trailers for mechanical, safety, and compliance deficiencies.
• Translate driver concerns into clear, actionable work orders for technicians.
• Coordinate with Parts and Shop Management to authorize repairs and schedule labor.
• Ensure accurate maintenance documentation and proper authorization for high-cost repairs.
• Maintain inspection records and support DOT inspections and internal audits.
