Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead a team of technicians in maintaining a fleet of up to 60 vehicles (diesel and alt-fuel). The role focuses on preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and scheduling repairs to minimize downtime across one or more locations.

You will oversee lead technicians and supervisor(s), drive improvements in shop efficiency, and manage budgets, payroll, and training. Local travel may be required as part of operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and scheduling of repair work to increase productivity and manage overtime.
• Lead technicians and maintenance supervisors; coach performance and address action items.
• Maintain ongoing preventive maintenance programs for assigned locations.
• Oversee outside repair facilities and ensure compliance with safety and regulations.
• Perform quality control inspections and track issue resolution.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of engine, emission, transmission, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems; manage maintenance of heavy equipment.
• Manage payroll, records, and budget preparation; set departmental goals.
