Job summary

Transport Refrigeration Services in Winter Haven, FL, is seeking a hands-on Fleet Maintenance Operations Manager to lead our service location. You will drive downtime reduction, manage a maintenance team, and oversee inventory, safety programs, and preventative maintenance while delivering top-tier customer service.

You’ll lead multiple shifts, coordinate workloads, and mentor technicians, ensuring quality service and strong vendor and customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in fleet maintenance or repair operations.
• Strong technical knowledge of diesel equipment, trailers, and refrigeration systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop shop teams across multiple shifts.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through quality service and communication.
• Oversee technician training and performance reviews.
• Manage shop scheduling, workloads, and project coordination.
• Maintain safety programs and conduct inspections.
• Support hands-on shop work during peak times.
• Track department performance and drive efficiency improvements.
• Build strong relationships with vendors and customers.

Requirements:

• Proven leadership in similar role, preferably in truck and trailer repair industry
• Strong technical knowledge of diesel equipment, trailers, and refrigeration systems
• Excellent communication and team-building skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Must possess a toolbox and required tools
• Experience with safety compliance and repair industry best practices
