Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Jackson, MS, is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the truck fleet's operations and maintenance. You will lead a shop team, direct repairs for efficiency, and ensure accurate recordkeeping and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4–6 years of experience with fleet equipment maintenance.
• Team lead or supervisory experience with DOT regulations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the operations of the mechanic shop ensuring maintenance and repairs are performed properly and efficiently.
• Plans, organizes, directs, supervises and evaluates activities and establishes priorities.
• Conducts utilization studies and evaluates fleet condition; advises on fleet size and replacement criteria.
• Ensures that safety regulations are followed.
• Manages and mentors others in line with laws and company policy.
• Maintains and keeps all equipment in good working condition.
• Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs trucks, trailers and other equipment.
• Ensures inspections and preventive maintenance are conducted.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports.
• Maintains a clean shop.
• Develops interpersonal relationships fostering openness and trust.
