Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to maintain diesel and gasoline powered equipment and trucks across all makes and models. You will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnose deficiencies, and document service activities to keep fleet operating safely and reliably.

Responsibilities include conducting tests, performing repairs from basic to complex mechanical systems, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must pass drug and alcohol screen and background check per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Determine vehicle condition through inspections and tests.
• Keep equipment available via preventive maintenance and upgrades.
• Repair, adjust, overhaul major systems and components.
• Verify performance with test drives and control adjustments.
• Comply with federal/state vehicle requirements and safety standards.
• Maintain vehicle appearance and records of services.
• Control costs by using warranties and evaluating parts options.
• Keep inventory stocked and manage orders and receipts.
• Stay current with technical publications and regulations.
