Job summary

Ysleta Independent School District seeks a Shop Supervisor to support the Shop Foreman in leading repairs for the district’s fleet vehicles. You will supervise automotive technicians and shop staff, manage parts inventory, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate with Transportation Coordinators to ensure timely, safe bus repairs, maintain records, and assist with training and performance evaluations within the Transportation Department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ASE certification or equivalent vocational training.
• Experience leading, supervising or mentoring shop personnel is preferred.
• Three years' experience maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, or buses.

Responsibilities

• Assist Shop Foreman in leading repairs of district fleet vehicles.
• Supervise automotive technicians and shop staff.
• Manage parts, supplies, and inventory for repairs.
• Complete and document work orders; generate reports.
• Ensure safety protocols and environmental regulations are followed.
• Coordinate with Transportation Coordinators for timely bus repairs.
