Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Lead Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our diesel fleet under limited supervision. The role requires troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing fleet vehicles and equipment in Norton, MA.

You will read Vehicle Condition Reports, document parts usage and times, and communicate with supervisors. The position also involves training junior technicians and upholding OSHA standards on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 4+ years of related equipment maintenance and repair, or 6 years of related maintenance experience.
• Experience with diesel fleet equipment and preventive maintenance programs preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; OSHA safety awareness is essential.
• Ability to read vehicle condition reports and repair orders; document parts usage and labor time.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Reads and interprets Vehicle Condition Reports and repair orders.
• Communicates with supervisor and equipment operators for maintenance needs clarification.
• Completes paperwork, documents parts usage and times for repairs.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Trains and develops junior technicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Fosters a positive work environment with customers and coworkers.
