Job summary

Sysco Grand Rapids, LLC is actively seeking a Maintenance Utility Worker to perform routine checks of oil, fluids, tire pressure and to fuel all equipment in a fast-paced distribution center. You will support the fleet shop and night warehouse teams to ensure equipment is ready for use and maintained to FSQA standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 months of related experience, and basic math/reading skills. Training will be provided to operate tractors and trailers safely.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos and short correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Responsibilities

• Fuel every piece of delivery equipment daily.
• Check all fluid levels of power equipment daily.
• Assist the fleet shop when needed.
• Work with fleet shop and night warehouse management to ready equipment for use.
• Wash trailers per FSQA schedule.
• Keep parking lot clean and free of debris.
• Support night truck spotters to organize the truck yard.
