Job summary

RATP Dev is seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Director to be based on-site in Asheville, NC. You will lead the maintenance division, drive safety culture, and ensure OSHA compliance while steering a large fleet transformation.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will manage budgets, coordinate with Safety, Risk and Continuous Improvement teams, interact with officials, and develop a high-performance team of supervisors and technicians for reliable, cost-efficient transit services.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a maintenance/leadership role.
• Experience managing a maintenance department in transportation (fixed route).
• Experience with battery electric and hybrid fleets.
• Union environment experience.
• Experience leading a large fleet transformation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to maintenance supervisors and staff.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and safety policies.
• Oversee maintenance budgets and cost control.
• Coordinate with Safety, Risk, and Continuous Improvement teams.
• Interact with public officials and stakeholders.
• Oversee vendor contracts and warranties.
