Job summary

Beaufort County Community College is seeking a part-time Fleet Maintenance/ CDL Assistant to support instructors with lab setup, take down and general shop housekeeping on our Main Campus in Washington, NC.

Responsibilities include assisting with truck maintenance tasks, moving equipment and cones for CDL classes, and maintaining a clean, organized shop environment. A valid NC driver license and ability to lift 75 lbs are required.

Minimum Qualifications

• - NC Driver License in good standing.
• - Must be able to lift and move 75 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• - Setting up and taking down cones and other materials for CDL driving classes.
• - Assisting other personnel with truck maintenance (Ex: checking oil and coolant, replacing wiper blades, changing light bulbs, filling tires, washing trucks, etc.).
• - Moving vehicles and equipment; backing trailers.
• - Maintaining shop inventory, including picking up and loading shipments.
• - Maintaining clean and organized shop.
