Job summary
WeDriveU, Inc. is seeking a Technical Apprentice in Lansing, IL to gain hands-on experience in fleet maintenance. You will assist with preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs, working alongside experienced technicians in a professional shop environment.

Qualifications
- Enrolled in automotive/diesel/related program or recently completed.
- Basic understanding of automotive systems from coursework or training.
- Interest in fleet or commercial vehicle maintenance.
- Will follow instructions and work safely under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with preventive maintenance and routine vehicle services.
- Support basic repairs and component replacement under supervision.
- Inspect brakes, tires, fluids, batteries, lights, belts and hoses.
- Check fluid levels, change filters, lubricate components, and maintain tire pressure.
- Identify and report vehicle defects or maintenance concerns.
- Learn to use diagnostic equipment and maintenance systems.
- Document completed work and maintain maintenance records.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and handle tools and hazardous materials properly.
- Follow safety procedures and participate in required training.
- Assist with parts inventory and shop organization.
