Job summary

WeDriveU is seeking a Technical Apprentice in Peoria, IL to gain hands-on experience in a professional fleet maintenance environment. Working with seasoned technicians, you will assist with preventive maintenance, vehicle inspections, basic repairs, shop organization, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, an automotive or diesel program.
• Interest in pursuing a career in fleet or commercial vehicle maintenance.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems gained through coursework or experience.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely under supervision.
• Willingness to learn and accept coaching and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with preventive maintenance and routine vehicle services.
• Support basic repairs and replacement of components under supervision.
• Inspect brakes, tires, fluids, batteries, lights, belts, and hoses.
• Perform tasks like checking fluids, changing filters, and lubricating parts.
• Help maintain maintenance records and shop organization.
• Learn to use diagnostic equipment and maintenance systems.
