Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Logistics & Transport Officer to manage transportation operations from a Welkom on-site location. You will oversee the fleet, coordinate movements, and implement strategies to cut costs while maintaining service quality.

The role requires 3–5 years in logistics, strong SCM knowledge, and excellent negotiation and leadership abilities. Experience with logistics software and data analysis tools is valued, with on-site duties in Welkom.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in logistics or related field.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all aspects of the company's transportation fleet, including scheduling, maintenance, and compliance.
Coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring timely and secure deliveries and pickups across various destinations.
Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
Negotiate contracts and terms with third-party logistics providers and transportation carriers.
Monitor KPIs for logistics operations and report on performance to management.
Ensure all transportation activities comply with local and national regulations and safety standards.
