Zusammenfassung

Ysleta ISD is seeking a lead-level Fleet Shop Supervisor to support the Shop Foreman by directing repairs, coordinating technicians, and ensuring timely, safe maintenance of the district’s bus and fleet vehicles.

The role requires strong leadership, prior supervisory experience, and comprehensive knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks. A valid Texas/NM license and CDL eligibility are required; state training and safety protocols must be followed.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED; ASE certification or equivalent vocational training.
• 1 year of experience leading, supervising, coordinating, or mentoring mechanics or shop personnel preferred.
• 3 years experience maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, buses, or diesel engines.
• Must have a valid TX or NM driver’s license and be able to obtain CDL Class A or B within 90–120 days; endorsements may be required.

Aufgaben

• Provide leadership and oversight of repairs to YISD fleet vehicles.
• Supervise automotive technicians and shop personnel.
• Coordinate with Shop Foreman on department matters and regulatory inspections.
• Oversee preventative maintenance and inventory of parts and tools.
• Manage and document work orders, costs, parts, and reports.
• Ensure safety training and environmental compliance for staff.
