Job summary

S and S Paving & Construction, LLC is seeking a Fueler in Phoenix, AZ to support field crews by fueling, servicing, and inspecting company vehicles and heavy equipment. The role ensures readiness for daily operations and adherence to safety standards at all times.

The Fueler will maintain fluid levels, report issues to the Shop Foreman, and keep detailed fueling records. The position may require early mornings, evenings, and overtime as needed on a busy construction site.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow fueling procedures and safety instructions.
• Experience with fueling heavy equipment is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of construction vehicles is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability are essential.
• Good communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Fuel company trucks, vehicles, and heavy equipment daily.
• Check and replenish engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid, DEF, windshield washer fluid, and other fluids.
• Inspect equipment for leaks, damage, tire condition, lights and safety concerns.
• Report maintenance needs to Shop Foreman or Fleet Manager.
• Maintain accurate fueling and service records.
• Keep fueling stations, service trucks, and work areas clean and stocked.
• Safely transport fuel using company trucks in compliance with DOT, OSHA, and safety rules.
• Follow environmental regulations for fuel handling and spill prevention.
• Assist mechanics with basic maintenance tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
